A monopoly right protecting the outward appearance of the product. Protects the features of shape or configuration, pattern or ornament applied to an article that appeal to the eye.

Key Issues

  • Valid for five years and may be extended in five year renewals to a maximum of twenty five years.
  • Must have significant eye appeal, and must be new.

Why register a design?
